Do you
know
that
proper
disinfection
and
sterilization
techniques
are one
of the
most
important
aspects
of your
treatment?
Taking
the time
to
properly
disinfect
an
operatory
can take
up to 15
minutes.
The
Dental
Assistance
Program
at PACC
has a 45
hour
course
devoted
to this
task.
The
practice
of
proper
hygiene
and
asepsis
has
always
played a
key role
in the
program.
Good
practices
are
reinforced
during
all
practical
modules
and
throughout
job
training.
Dental
offices
use FDA
or
Health
Canada
approved
hospital
grade
disinfectants
in order
to keep
the
patients
safe.
An ideal
surface
disinfectant
should
rapidly
kill a
broad
spectrum
of
bacteria,
have low
toxicity
and
exhibit
residual
activity
(its
action
continues
long
after
initial
application).
Our
students
are
taught
that
surface
cleaning
is a
two-step
process,
cleaning
and then
disinfecting.
Waterlines
are
purged
and
disinfected
after
every
patient,
instruments
are
cleaned
before
being
sterilized
and
disposable
products
and
barriers
are used
as much
as
possible.
Rest
assured
you are
in good
hands

It is
your

a
