PEARSON ADULT AND CAREER CENTRE – 2016 HEALTH JOB FAIR

The 12^th Annual Health Job Fair was held on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at PACC Career Centre in LaSalle, Québec. Human Resource representatives from the major health establishments in Montreal and the Montérégie region were in attendance along with representatives from several private organizations to recruit graduates from  Health Care programs.

Displayed kiosks lavished the school library with color as well as the beautiful floral centerpiece designed by JAS Floral Decor.The annual Job Fair enables employers to meet with PACC students in order to recruit potential employees. Students attending the fair are enrolled in career programs  such as Health, Assistance and Nursing Care, Assistance and Health Facilities, Home Care Assistance and Medical Secretarial Studies. In addition, students involved in other programs offered at PACC such as the Food Services and Business sectors are welcome to meet with  health employers to discuss employment opportunities.

Over 400 students participated in this year’s successful event. Each year, the event provides a professional and comfortable milieu where HR representatives can meet the students and answer questions related to employment needs. Realizing that there are concrete job opportunities not only gives a real sense of hope to students  but motivates them to complete their studies with success.

This year, several students left with scheduled interviews for various job postings. Feedback from both HR representatives and students was overwhelmingly positive and inspiring. The planning committee has already started designing new innovations to make next year’s job fair as spectacular.
