About the program

The Private Security Guarding program aims to ensure all security guards have the knowledge and skills to carry out their work professionally, effectively, safely and lawfully. The program is offered full-time, five days per week, during the day.

Onsite and hands-on instruction is provided by highly skilled and qualified teachers. Students will become certified in First Aid Training and acquire their BSP Security guard license within the training hours. How to correctly use a fire extinguisher and handcuffing techniques are just some examples of the skills practiced. 

Our instructors have built quality  partnerships with many leading organizations resulting in 100% hiring rate for our students completing their internship!

  • Comply with laws and regulations
  • Observe their environment
  • Refer to the functioning of security and communication systems
  • Apply emergency response procedures
  • Carry out surveillance activities
  • Control vehicular and pedestrian traffic

 

A career as a Private Security Guard

Upon completion of this course you will be qualified to work as a security agent or security guard.

*Please note that in performing the trade, you will need to provide proof of no criminal record.

*Companies hiring usually prefer employees to be at least 18 years old and have a driver’s licence.

Lester B.
