Information Session - Private Security Guard - January 28, 2019

PEC will be hosting an orientation / information session for its upcoming Private Security Guard Program.  The information session will be held at PEC on January 28th from 10am - 12pm, and all are welcome.  If you were looking for more information on this 390-hour Skills Training Certificate, please RSVP today!  514 798-1818, ext. 1

Why 390 hours vs. 70 hours?

The 70 hour program is simply an introduction to the field, and although it will get you a security guard permit, the job options are limited.  Potential employers prefer candidates who have received extensive training - since they must bear the legal responsibility of anyone who applies laws and rules and may have to use force on their property, they generally want to ensure that all of their guards are well-trained.

Our uniformed program (students are expected to wear a white shirt and black tie every day) is designed to be challenging, and prepares students to meet the requirements of the industry, which leads to better opportunities  in the field.  These jobs include working for public and private security agencies, retail stores, transportation facilities, residential complexes, educational, financial and health institutions, industrial establishments, cultural establishments and many more organizations throughout the private and public sector.

The last 45 hours of the program is an internship, which allows students to test out their newly acquired skills in a professional setting and the possibility of securing employment.
