Student Services at Place Cartier

Resource Team at the S.O.S. Learning Centre:  S.O.S. stands for “Save Our Students” and at Place Cartier we have our own dynamic duo.  Margot Dalton and Samantha Brenhouse are here to encourage, motivate and support our students so they can achieve their academic goals.

This free service for all registered students begins in a warm and welcoming environment, which includes access to computers and the internet.

S.O.S. supports students with or without learning disabilities, in and outside of the classroom.  By focusing on each individual’s personal needs, S.O.S. is a major link for students to other in-school resources as well as external support

Due to increased popularity of the program, both Margot and Samantha work by appointment, tailoring their schedules as efficiently as possible from 9am - 4pm, Monday to Friday.   All students are welcome to come by and book an appointment as soon as they need.

Testimonials

Failing three times from elementary to high school, learning was SO difficult. By far one of the most difficult times in my life. Cartier was a turning point, allowing me to learn on my terms. It gave me the confidence to start building something.

One word I would use to describe Place Cartier would be ‘home’. It’s a family of committed, well-educated, and most importantly, down-to-earth teachers, who stopped at nothing to ensure my success. I’m sure that any new student will be amazed at the Place Cartier experience. It’s like no other.
