About the Program 

The Palliative Care program provides you with the essential skills to assist patients who are near the end of life. Palliative care professionals need to have the required knowledge to assist with patient pain and symptom management and be able to support individuals and families through the stages of end of life.

We make sure that our students are properly guided through the learning process by creating smaller classrooms and better student to teacher ratios; you get more personal attention and an opportunity to work closely with your classmates. Our experienced staff guide you step by step through the learning modules. Our state of the art learning environments replicate an actual health care setting and provide you with the opportunity to put into practice the techniques you’ll learn during the program. Our student placement program links you directly to industry. Prior to graduation, students gain real world experience at a health care facility and collaborate with on-site health care teams.

  • Integrating palliative care into the broader health care team
  • Understanding the impact of personal attitudes on professional practice

A career in health care

With the graying of the Canadian population, palliative care will becoming increasingly in demand in health care facilities. Our students have a very high rate of job placement in a growing industry.
